Job Description
Right now we’re looking for great people like you to join our team for our 2018/19 Live Horse Racing Season! We’re looking for outgoing, professional, guest service driven individuals to join our Food & Beverage Team as Bartenders. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for making and serving beverages to our guests in a fun and fast paced environment. You will provide unrivaled personalized services to our guests while maintaining regard for our rules, regulations and outlet operational guidelines. This is a temporary position ending in April 2019. This position requires flexible scheduling and a minimum of Friday evening and Sunday afternoon availability for Live Racing Days; additional shifts may be scheduled. Racing Days are subject to change.
Taking guests’ drink orders and making recommendations;
Preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages;
Handling payments by credit card, debit cards and cash;
Entering transactions into the Point of Sales system (POS);
Keeping countertop and bar area clean, sanitized, organized and free of any debris or clutter;
Restocking the bar and completing beer and liquor order forms at end of every shift;
Assisting with month end inventories as directed;
Performing opening and closing duties, including counting a cash float;
Exercising good judgment when serving alcoholic beverages and following the Serving It Right guidelines;
Performing other duties as assigned or directed.
Minimum one year of recent bartending experience;
Bartending School Certificate is considered an asset;
Previous POS (Squirrel) experience an asset;
The ability to stand for long periods of time;
A High School Diploma;
Excellent multi-tasking skills;
Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills;
Understanding of yourself as well as others when communicating with team members and guests;
A passion for providing Unrivaled Personal Service to our guests;
Serving it Right Certification;
The ability to successfully obtain and maintain a criminal record check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB).
