Responsible for on-desk support of Interest Rate Derivatives & CMB Aggregation business for Toronto Sales & Trading Accountabilities: Reconcile T+0/T+1 P&L (trader estimate to Calypso) Book trades in MarkitWire (MW) Perform trade affirmation on all non MW trades on T0 Perform MW-calypso reconciliation and resolve breaks Monitor trade workflow between MW and Calypso and investigate and resolve issues Resolution of daily queries regarding the activities within the business Investigate and resolve position breaks and trade exceptions through daily reconciliations Liaise with settlements and confirms groups for operational issues Ensure trades in pending status in Calypso have been verified by EOD Actively contribute to new business or process change initiatives through collaboration with other departments Manage system enhancements / Ad hoc FO reporting requests Ability to take on a leadership role and help develop & support the newly created CMB Aggregation business as it ramps up Ensure new hedged strategy booked in Calypso accurately represents the synthetic pool of mortgages, performing a reconciliation and highlighting any issues to the desk Support the desk with monthly/ad-hoc reinvestment obligations, performing trade bookings, liaising with CHT and requesting wires transfers Continuously update MortgageHub to ensure it’s current with the latest reinvestment information Develop working relationships with CHT, external counterparties and various internal team to ensure the CMB program operates efficiently Verify daily input of pool and rate info is accurately represented in the trading system Update the linkages between the hypothetical pool to the underlying hedged swaps Monitor daily report from Mortgage Hub Process wire transfers Perform daily cash reconciliation & various ad-hoc reconciliations to verify accurate trade capture Work closely with the business to help with the implementation of any new processes/initiatives required as related discipline •Strong knowledge and understanding of a range of Financial Products including: Fixed Income, Money Markets, and Interest Rate Derivatives •Knowledge of Financial Markets and Regulatory oversight bodies •Strong written and oral communication skills •Ability to work under tight deadlines independently or in a team-based environment •Strong investigation and problem solving skills and attention to details •Demonstrates analytical thinking and sound judgement when making decisions •Good organizational skills, highly motivated and adaptable to a changing business environment •Good understanding of business unit’s risk and regulatory requirements •Good understanding of internal business partner’s business, services and organization •Knowledge of departmental
