Category :Medical DevicesLocation/City :ON – Tororonto Area BasedCountry/Locale :CanadaJob Type :PermanentPosition SummaryThe Area Managers are responsible for the support and promotion of The Company’sfull product portfolio in their particular geographical regions.This includes their Critical Care (Smart) Capital products.The Area Manager is responsible for all territorial sales contributingtowards the achievement of all divisional sales objectives.Essential Duties & Responsibilities•Calling on existing decision makers for the promotion of the fullrange of products•Monitoring and tracking the usage of all of the consumable medicalproducts and competitive products in key hospitals to optimizesales and identify business opportunities•Working closely with hospital administration, material management,nursing clinical instructors, nursing management teams, nursingIV access teams, Biomed, IT, Risk Management, infection controland pharmacy in identifying sales opportunities•Support sales efforts by creatively utilizing detail aids, scientificarticles, case studies, and cost/value analysis cards as well aseducational conference summaries•Developing support network and positive relationships within senioradministrative levels•Developing a unique account sales strategy for each target account•Implementing and following account strategies by providing propersupport and creative marketing initiatives.•Developing an annual territory business plan that outlines customercall objectives, Educational/Speaker events and group selling activities.The plan will also include activities relating to key influencers withinthe territory and outline support required from marketing, clinical supportand The Company’s management team.•Updating product knowledge on ongoing basisKnowledge, Skills & Qualifications•Self-motivated, energetic, professional, and able to perform job dutieswith minimal supervision•Excellent verbal and written communication skills•Strong presentation skills•Strong organization skills and able to multitask•Computer literate and proficient in Excel, Word, and OutlookEducation and Experience•Minimum of 5 years successful Hospital sales experience with provenresults is required•Bachelors Degree is required•Experience with a territory electronic management system•Established senior contacts and relationships within various regions•Superior communication and presentation skills•Superior and proven territory management skills•Superior analytical skills and proven team playerTravel Requirements•Typically requires travel approximately 30-50% of the time
