Do you have high integrity and strong work ethic?  Our Heavy Equipment Technicians are critical to the business and what make Toromont Cat a trusted dealer in repairs.  We are seeking a talented Apprentice Technician, Heavy Equipment to train with our trusted Technicians
and maintain steady progression into a Licensed Technician position in order to safely and effectively diagnose and repair customer equipment in a timely manner while ensuring positive customer relations.  
Key Accountabilities
Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times in support of Toromonts Health and Safety Policy, Programs and initiatives
Repair Caterpillar equipment for our customers in a timely and economical manner
Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic problems using Caterpillar testing equipment
Prepare service reports and service documentation in an accurate and timely manner
Ensure internal and external customer requirements are met in an efficient, knowledgeable and professional manner
Key Qualifications
Completed a College Heavy Equipment Technician Apprentice Program with exemption exams written and passed
Highly safety conscious and a Co-op/1-2 years experience repairing equipment on a shop floor would be an asset
Knowledge of CAT SIS, or experience with Toromont parts operations would be an asset
Ability to read and understand prints, drawings and technical bulletins
Customer centric with excellent relationship management, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills with a high attention to detail
Self-motivated and energetic team player who can work effectively in a high demand fast paced environment
Able to take the initiative and work with minimal supervision
Computer and systems literate with proficiencies Excel and Word (DBS would be beneficial)
Willing and able to work flexible hours in support of the business needs
A valid Drivers Licence and current clean Drivers Abstract
