We are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our growing Insolvency team. Committed to helping all stakeholders through financial challenges, MNP Limited is one of the largest insolvency practices in Canada. For more than 50 years, our experienced team of Government-Licensed Trustees and advisors have been working collaboratively with lenders and debtors at all levels to help protect their interests. Performance ExpectationsProcess documents related to bankruptcy filingsPrepare forms and set-up payment arrangements as directedSchedule appointments with clientsMonitor payments and verify depositsReview income and expense statementsManage incoming proof of claims Complete appropriate searches, background and/or credit checksProcess bank deposits and complete deposit verificationsPull reports and review client statuses for follow-upPick-up and drop off documents at the Court House or appropriate locationsFile documentsOpen, close, organize and maintain insolvency filesCreate, format, assemble and proofread draftsAnswer and direct all incoming calls Greet clientsMaintain all incoming and outgoing courier packages and mailProvide general admin support to consultants, managers and partnersScan and E-file documentsPrepare letters, as directed, using template letter formatsProcess expense claimsRespond to inquiriesBook flights and hotels and general calendar managementCommunicate and coordinate with the team regarding client service work and the flow of informationProvide support and guidance to other team membersSchedule team meetings CredentialsExperience working in a Professional Services environment, particularly in insolvency, considered an assetTwo (2) to five (5) years’ experience in an administrative or support positionStrong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerpointExperience in answering and directing customer phone calls through a phone systemUnderstanding of Microsoft Outlook and learning internal databases is an assetCore Competencies and Personal Characteristics Integrity – professional whose honesty, integrity, confidentiality and high ethical standards contributes to effective leadership and optimal business relationshipsEnergy – displays enthusiasm, optimism, drive and passion while maintaining a high level of productivity and a balanced lifestyleDiversity – understands the importance of different backgrounds, perspectives and experiences and is respectful of individual differencesCommunication – effectively expresses ideas and conveys information in business writing, conversations and interactions with othersClient Service Excellence – understands the importance of quality client service by being courteous, responding to client requests in a timely manner and monitoring satisfactionTeamwork & Relationship Development – works collaboratively with team members in order to achieve a common goal and develops, maintains and strengthens relationships with others, both inside and outside the FirmAccountability – takes responsibility for one’s own performance by setting clear goals and tracking progress against those goals; is highly organized and uses personal judgement and decision makingFlexibility – effectively manages multiple assignments, adapts to changing priorities and is able to work independently or as part of a teamMNP encourages a balanced lifestyle and offers benefits that suit the way our team members work and play!
