The Activity and Volunteer Coordinator is responsible to define and maintain the infratructure necessary to support recreation and volunteer programming for the residents.QualificationsDiploma in Therapeutic Recreation is required, preference given to a degreeA specialty or major in gerontology is preferredCurrent membership and registration with Alberta Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA) required1-2 years of Therapeutic Recreation continuing care experience required1-2 years of supervisory experience requiredProven ability to effectively recruit and retain volunteersStrong organization and leadership abilities combined with strong interpersonal, verbal and writtencommunication skillsOnly those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.All employees new to Covenant Living must provide a criminal records check, including vulnerable sector search.Covenant Living is committed to an inclusive work environment and encourages all qualifiedindividuals to apply.We thank you in advance for applying with Covenant Living.
