In short, because relationships matter.Position SummaryWe are currently seeking a full-time Accounting/Administrative Technician to join our Bridgewater, NS team.The successful candidate will be adaptable to multiple requirements of the position, able to work independently and within a team environment. The position combines some general administrative tasks together with responsibilities to serve our clients in accounting and tax roles at the technician level. Roles and Responsibilities:Assembly of personal, corporate and other tax returns and appropriate client correspondenceMonthly invoicing and maintenance of client information in BDO time and billing software Liaise with and assist other professional staff with administrative functionsBookkeeping experience and working knowledge of Sage, Quickbooks and other small business accounting programs considered an assetExperience with tax preparation and Caseware working paper software considered an asset although training is availableWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) softwareQualifications: Previous CPA firm experience preferred but not requiredAble to work under pressure and meet deadlinesMust have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to liaise with clients, staff and outside parties in a professional mannerMust be organized and have the ability to multi-task
