We aim to be the most admired engineering business in our markets and we”ll achieve that ambition by being the employer of choice in our markets.We offer a wide range of career opportunities across a variety of technical and business roles in engineering, manufacturing and service locations worldwide.Weir Pressure Control provides pressure control products, production equipment & rental services.The Field Service Technician will assist in the installation, removal, repairs and maintenance of customer equipment on the well site.Including but not limited to:Lead responsibility on all field serviceResponsible for the training of the Field Service Technician IPrepare JSA (Job Safety Analysis) on job site and perform all duties in a safe mannerSafely install, remove, repair and service customer equipment on the well sitePerform valve lubrication, valve repair, wellhead improvements with the ability to run high pressure lubricator (PBMO) to set various size back pressure valves and two way checkMaintain Weir Seaboard company vehicle, service tools and any other equipment in a clean, ready to use statePrepare accurate field service and rental tickets in a clean and legible wayPromote Weir Seaboard in field service, sales, maintain a professional appearance and work attitudeProvide technical expertise and direction to well site supervisor and rig crewPre check all equipment on the well site before installation to insure all equipment is correct and all accessories are on location ready to installBe receptive to and able to understand training received on related installation processes and safety proceduresMust have the ability to work independently with little to no supervisionMust be available on 24 hour call to respond to customer needsCommunicate effectively, both verbally and writtenComply with all applicable, safety, health, quality and environmental regulationsThe ability to run control line if neededProvides proper care and maintenance of all shop tools, equipment, and work areaAssists with customers as neededPerforms other routine duties per supervisor’s instructionsHealth & Safety : Key Responsibilities & Requirements:Able to work in a manner that ensures the safety of themselves and othersAble to demonstrate compliance to company safety procedures and legal obligations Recognise and report and resolve hazards identifiedConfidence and ability to intervene on practices deemed to be unsafeEngage and promote a zero harm culture Be aware of physical limitations based upon job requirementsEducation and/or Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with four years related experience.Language Skills:Ability to read, write, and speak in the English language. Mathematical Skills:Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10”s and 100”s. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Bill of Material (BOM), sales order interpretation and the ability to read machine detail drawings a plus.Other Skills and Abilities:Must have mechanical aptitude. Ability to operate high pressure torque wrenches, hammer wrench, jib cranes, overhead cranes, forklift and be able to do rigging work in a safe manner. Must be able to use power tools, hand tools, swing sledge hammer and measuring devices such as micrometers, tape measure, rulers, scale and pressure gauges with chart recorder.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here arerepresentative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
