Mississauga, OntarioJob TypeFull TimeJob IDHB1951TO17DurationTemp to PermExperience2-3 YearsSalary$65kJob DescriptionOur client is a manufacturer of custom electrical automation and industrial control systems. and they are currently looking to hire for the role of Production Supervisor.Shift- Monday to Friday 7am to 4pmRESPONSIBILITIESTASKS:   A Production Supervisor usually performs many of the following tasksProduction:overseeing the production process, drawing up a production schedule;ensuring that the production is cost effective;Recommend Operational changes to improve efficiencies, improve quality etc.working out the human and material resources needed;drafting a timescale for the job;monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed;being responsible for the selection and maintenance of tools and equipment;supervising and motivating a team of workers;reviewing worker performance;giving and receiving employee feedbackfacilitating team participationidentifying training needs.Resolving production problemsQualityInspecting and Testing Electrical Control PanelsRepair and modify any errors detected by test/inspectionmaking sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality;setting the quality standards;monitoring product standards and implementing a quality-control program;Apply consistency in wiring and assembly method for units of the same order.Monitor products to ensure product and quality specifications are met.Maintain CSA documentationSafetyensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed;Ensure the safe operation of shop equipment/tools etcRequirementsIn order to be considered for the Production Supervisor Position all candidates should meet the following requirements :Required Skills :2 – 3 years supervisory experience5+ years of experience building custom industrial control panels – experience in CanadaFamiliar with CSA and UL wiring practices and required documentationSeasoned understanding of electrical schematic drawingsGood inter personnel skillsBasic computer skillsCapable of operating computerized wire marker printer equipmentAbility to read electrical schematics and comprehend work instructionsAbility to work in a fast paced and team oriented environmentAbility to lift minimum of 35 lbs.
