We currently have an opportunity for a Temporary Full Time Administrative Assistant in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Molecular Diagnostics located at the Bayview Campus.
Summary of Duties:
Provides administrative support to not only Director but also Division
Managers and Medical Heads as required.
Handles Confidential Documents
Maintains schedules, arranges meetings and organizes special events as
Attends departmental meetings and takes minutes
Prepares memos and letters as assigned by the Department Head
Responds to Telephone inquiries or appropriately redirects
Coordinates the submission of Laboratory Licenses and capital equipment
Assists with divisional materials management
Maintains timesheets for management team
Submits expenses and Collates financial spreadsheets for review
University education required, preferably in Health Administration
Certificate in medical or business office administration program preferred
Five years of related administrative support experience required
Experience working in a health care environment an asset
Excellent organizational and time management skills required
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required
Customer service oriented
Strong transcription skills required and knowledge of medical terminology an asset
Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel and Power Point
Ability to effectively and efficiently organize and prioritize workload with minimal
